NASS publishes more than 200 reports and analyses annually, covering all aspects of U.S. agriculture, from production and trade to farm income and prices.
NASS serves as the primary source of information on U.S. agriculture and is a cooperator with the Census Bureau in conducting the decennial census of agriculture. NASS also conducts numerous surveys on specific commodities or topics, such as honey bee colonies or organic production, in addition to the continuous data collection efforts that provide information for our regular publications. What are the Horse Standards Released by the Agriculture Ministry
The Ministry of Agriculture has released horse standards in an effort to improve the quality of horses in the country. The standards cover aspects such as breeding, health and welfare, and training. The standards are voluntary, but they provide guidance for those who wish to improve the quality of their horses.
They also provide a way for the government to monitor the horse industry and ensure that it is meeting the needs of horse owners and riders. The standards are divided into three categories: general requirements, minimum requirements and recommended practices. General requirements apply to all horses, regardless of their purpose or use.
Minimum requirements must be met by all horses used for riding or competing in events regulated by the ministry. Recommended practices are guidelines that can be followed by those who want to exceed the minimum requirements. The Standards were developed with input from experts in the field, including veterinarians, trainers, breeders, and riders.
They are based on international best practices and reflect the latest research on horse care and management.
Why were These Standards Released
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that develops voluntary international standards. These standards are then adopted by countries around the world and used to ensure that products and services are safe, reliable, and of good quality. The ISO 9000 family of standards is one such example; it includes quality management standards that have been adopted by over 1 million organizations in 180 countries.
So why were these standards released? Quite simply, to improve efficiency and effectiveness within businesses! By having internationally recognized standards in place, businesses can save time and money by streamlining their processes and procedures.
In addition, customers can be confident that they are receiving products and services that meet their expectations in terms of quality. There are many different types of ISO standards, covering everything from environmental management to healthcare.
