2022 Aqha World Show Patterns
As we all know, the 2022 AQHA World Show is just around the corner. And with that, comes a whole new set of patterns to learn! If you’re like me, you want to be as prepared as possible so that you can go into the show ring with confidence.
That’s why I’ve put together a list of all the patterns that will be used at the World Show, along with a few tips on how to ride each one. The first pattern on the list is the Open Reining Pattern. This pattern consists of eight maneuvers, including circles, flying changes, rollbacks, and spins.
My top tip for riding this pattern is to really focus on your transitions. Make sure they are smooth and effortless so that you can keep your horse under control throughout the entire pattern. The second pattern is the Open Working Cow Horse Pattern.
This one is definitely not for beginners! It consists of 10 difficult maneuvers, such as stop-and-goes, turnarounds, and box work. If you want to have any chance of success in this class, make sure you spend plenty of time practicing beforehand.
You need to be able to think quickly on your feet and have excellent cow sense if you want to place well in this class. Last but not least is the Non-Pro Cutting Pattern. This one is similar to the Open Cutting Pattern but has a few different requirements.
For example, instead of two cows being worked at once, only one cow will be worked during this class. Additionally, there are no required herd work or fence work maneuvers – so if those aren’t your strong suits then this could be the perfect class for you! Just remember to stay focused and don’t let your cattle get away from you while you’re making your cuts.
That wraps up our look at the 2022 AQHA World Show Patterns! Be sure to study up so that you can ride these patterns confidently come show time. Good luck!
