Best Horse: For his outstanding achievements in both show jumping and dressage, the FEI awarded the title of Best Horse to Dujardin Valegro. ridden by Charlotte Dujardin OBE. The 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding is widely considered one of the greatest horses of all time, having won Olympic gold medals in both disciplines as well as numerous other prestigious titles.

He also holds the record for most World Cup wins in a single season (eight), and was crowned overall World Cup Champion in 2015. In addition to his many successes on the international stage, Brash is also known for his work off the horse as an ambassador for equestrianism around the world.
He is a deserving winner of this coveted award. Best Groom: The final “best of” award went to Cian O’Connor’s groom Eddie Macken , who was honored as Best Groom. Macken has been working with O’Connor for over 20 years now, and he played a pivotal role in helping him win individual gold at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
Beyond his dedication to O’ Connor and their team , Macken is also known for his work with young riders , which includes giving clinics and mentoring up -and-coming stars . He is truly deserving of this recognition from FEI .
