What is a Circuit Horse Show?
A circuit horse show is a series of horse shows held at the exact location over time. The circuit usually lasts for two to three weeks, and during that time, different classes and divisions are offered each day. Riders accumulate points based on their placings in each category, and the rider with the most points in each division at the end of the circuit is crowned the circuit champion.
What is a Schooling Horse Show?
A schooling horse show is an equestrian competition in which horses are shown at lower levels of training than horse shows that offer USEF- or FEI-sanctioned classes. The term “schooling” refers to teaching a horse new skills; thus, schooling horse shows allow riders to showcase their horses’ progress in learning new manoeuvres. Because schooling horse shows are not as formal as USEF- or FEI-level competitions, they often have more relaxed rules regarding attire and equipment.
